Introduction

Thank you for visiting Nylakatts, the home of our Norwegian Forest Cat.

We are Anne and Steve, we live in Danbury, a small village in Essex with our two children and much loved cats. We believe that each of our cats is a valued member of our family, and we occasionally have kittens available to specially selected loving homes.*All our cats are our pets first and foremost, any thing else from these wonderful loving cats is a huge bonus to us.

We take our breeding seriously, we will not breed from a cat just because it has a pedigree and is on the active register. We will only breed from cats we have that are as close to the typical NFC type as possible, have good size, very good temperament, coat quality, so on. We don't like to see so much diversity in the breed and our aim with our breeding is to breed only as close to the true NFC as we see it and have seen many times over in many cattery's we have visit in other country's that have been breeding for many years, as early as the 1980s . These cats are truly stunning and would have no problems having to survive in their native land during the harsh winters. We feel only the best kittens should be used for breeding not just any kitten that has a pedigree.

In our view Norwegian Forest Cat's must be mentally stable, calm and big cat's who love their families more than anything else & Co-exist easily with all other kinds of animals, have a self-confident and stable temperament.
